In Fukuoka, the first question about a noodle shop is usually “Is it open now?” Some shops close at 4 p.m. Others open at 6 p.m. and serve until dawn. This guide lists eight ramen and udon shops in Fukuoka City and Itoshima City, sorted by what the official pages say about their hours and closing days. Pick your hour first, then the shop.

- Only Sukesan Udon (Hakata Chiyo branch) is open 24 hours, every day.
- Ramen Unari (Nakasu) serves from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Niku Niku Udon (Nakasu) closes at 2 a.m. or 3 a.m., depending on the day.
- ICHIRAN no Mori (Itoshima) closes at 4 p.m. Hakata Issou’s main store closes at midnight, but only while the soup lasts.
- Unari does not take credit cards, and Sukesan does not take PayPay. Pay attention to the payment line in each section.

1. Which shop is open at my time?
Depends on the shop
At 1 a.m. the choices come down to Ramen Unari, Niku Niku Udon (Monday to Saturday) and Sukesan Udon. Use this list to narrow it down.
- Arriving at night, after midnight. Ramen Unari is open until 6 a.m., Niku Niku Udon until 2 a.m. (3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday), and Sukesan Udon all night.
- Early morning. Sukesan Udon is the only shop here open before 10 a.m. At 10:00, ICHIRAN no Mori and Kamaage Maki no Udon open.
- Late lunch or an early dinner. ICHIRAN no Mori stops at 4 p.m. (last order 3:45 p.m.). Do not plan it for the evening.
- Sunday. Ramen Unari is closed. Niku Niku Udon is open only 11:00–20:00. Nagahama Number One and Inaba Udon close earlier than on weekdays.
2. Which shops are open late at night?
Depends on the shop
2.1 Ramen Unari Nakasu (ラーメン海鳴 中洲店)
This is the second shop of the Unari group, which opened in 2011. The official page lists tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen, seafood tonkotsu and a Nakasu-only ramen called “Hi Tonkotsu” (火豚骨). It is open from 18:00 to 6:00 the next morning (last order 5:50) and closed on Sunday. If Sunday falls in a run of holidays, the closing day is the last day of the run.
- Payment. Cash, QR code payment and transport IC cards. Credit cards are not accepted.
- Seats. 5 counter seats and 8 table seats. The shop is non-smoking.
- Parking. None. The official page gives a walk of about 260 m from Exit 5 of Nakasu-Kawabata Station (Subway Kuko Line).
- Price. Not stated on the page.

2.2 Niku Niku Udon Nakasu (肉肉うどん 中洲店)
Niku Niku Udon is a style of udon with a dark broth, diced meat and ginger on top, according to the company’s page. The Nakasu shop is on Kokutai Road. The official page names burdock tempura (gobo-ten) and menchi-katsu (a fried minced-meat cutlet) as popular toppings.
- Hours. Monday to Thursday 18:00–2:00 (L.O. 1:45). Friday and Saturday 18:00–3:00 (L.O. 2:45). Sunday and holidays 11:00–20:00 (L.O. 19:45).
- Closed. Tuesday, according to the shop information. The list of hours also covers Tuesday, so call before you go on that day.
- Which hours? The shop’s own introduction says it opens at 11:30 and serves until 4 a.m., which does not match the hours list. For a late visit, call first.
- Parking. None. The page gives Tenjin-Minami Station and Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station as nearest stations.
- Price. Not stated on the page.

2.3 Sukesan Udon Hakata Chiyo (資さんうどん 博多千代店)
Sukesan Udon is a udon chain with shops in many prefectures. The Hakata Chiyo shop is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
- Payment. The shop notice says PayPay cannot be used. Skylark shareholder coupons can be used.
- Parking. The shop page says it has a parking lot.
- Menu and prices. The company site points to each shop’s own menu page. This guide does not copy prices.

3. Which tonkotsu ramen shops are open in the daytime and evening?
Depends on the shop
3.1 Hakata Issou Hakata Ekihigashi Main Store (博多一双 博多駅東本店)
The main store is a 6-minute walk from Hakata Station (JR and Subway Kuko Line). It is open 11:00–24:00, but it closes when the soup sells out, so a late visit is not guaranteed. Closing days are irregular.
- Other shops. The official access page also lists a Nakasu shop (19:00–4:30, also until the soup sells out) and a Gion shop (11:00–24:00). Closing days there are irregular too.
- Allergies. The official menu page says the ramen and gyoza contain wheat and egg white, and that the same cooking tools are used for every dish.

3.2 Nagahama Number One Gion (長浜ナンバーワン 祇園店)
This is the Gion shop of a Nagahama-style ramen company that also has shops in Hakata Station, Hakozaki and Tenjin, according to its official shop list. It is open Monday to Saturday 11:30–23:00 and Sunday 11:30–22:00, and it closes only on December 31 and January 1. Last order is 5 minutes before closing.
- Price and payment. Not stated on the shop list page.
- Another shop. The Canal City Hakata shop is shown as temporarily closed on the same list.

4. Is it worth driving to Itoshima for ramen?
Depends on the shop
4.1 ICHIRAN no Mori Itoshima (一蘭の森 糸島店)
This shop is next to the company’s noodle factory in Itoshima City. The museum and the noodle-making area can be seen for free, without a guide. It is open 10:00–16:00 (last order 15:45), and the official page says you may be turned away before last order when it is busy.
- Price. Natural tonkotsu ramen (the original recipe) is ¥980, a noodle refill (kaedama, 替玉) is ¥210.
- Payment. You buy tickets at a machine. The page lists cash, mobile payments (including PayPay and Alipay), credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club) and IC cards. The machines can be unavailable during maintenance.
- Seats. 57 table seats. The 16-seat partitioned counter opens only on weekends and holidays. There are no private rooms.
- Parking. 594 spaces for ordinary cars, 6 for large vehicles and 27 for motorbikes. The page asks you to come back later if the lot is full.
- Language. The official page has a how-to-order video with multilingual subtitles. The page does not say which languages. It does not say whether staff speak English.
- Closing days. Not stated. Hours can change at short notice.

5. Which Hakata udon shops are open in the daytime?
Depends on the shop
The two udon chains below have several shops in and around Fukuoka City. Niku Niku Udon and Sukesan Udon (sections 2.2 and 2.3) are also udon shops, and they are open later.
5.1 Kamaage Maki no Udon Airport (釜揚げ牧のうどん 空港店)
Maki no Udon serves noodles straight from the pot (kamaage), and you can add any topping to udon or soba, according to the company’s page. The airport shop is open 10:00–23:00. The company says all stores are closed on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, except Marina Town and Hakata Bus Terminal.
- Prices. Plain udon (kake) is ¥390, burdock tempura udon ¥490 and fish-cake tempura udon (maru-ten, 丸天) ¥520. Chicken rice (kashiwa gohan) is ¥210. These are eat-in prices. The company raised prices on June 1, 2026. Tax is not stated.
- Payment and parking. Not stated on the pages read.

5.2 Inaba Udon Watanabedori (因幡うどん 渡辺通店)
The official menu page names burdock tempura (gobo-ten), fish-cake tempura (maru-ten) and shrimp tempura udon as signature dishes. It also lists thin Hakata noodles (博多細うどん) and chicken rice (kashiwa-meshi). The Watanabedori shop is open 11:00–21:00 (last order 20:30), and 11:00–20:00 (last order 19:30) on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. It is closed only at New Year.
- Other shops. The shop list includes branches at Solaria Stage (Tenjin), Hakata Daytos, Hakata 1bangai and the domestic terminal of Fukuoka Airport (8:00–21:30, last order 21:00). Closing days there follow the building.
- Price and payment. Not stated on the pages read. The menu page links to an allergen list (PDF).

6. What should I check before I go?
- Soup sell-out. Hakata Issou closes when the soup is gone. This can be earlier than the printed closing time.
- Payment. Ramen Unari takes no credit cards. Sukesan takes no PayPay. ICHIRAN no Mori lists many cards and apps at its ticket machine.
- Parking. Only ICHIRAN no Mori and Sukesan Hakata Chiyo state that they have a lot. Ramen Unari and Niku Niku Udon Nakasu say they have none.
- Closing days. Unari is closed on Sunday and Niku Niku Udon on Tuesday. Nagahama Number One is closed only on December 31 and January 1.
- Language. The pages read do not say whether staff speak English, except for the subtitled video at ICHIRAN no Mori. Ask before you go if you need it.
Note
Anzen Shokudo in Nishi Ward is not in this guide. The only hours we could find were in a 2024 news article, and the shop has no official page that we could check.

Sukesan Udon Hakata Chiyo. Its official page says 24 hours, open every day of the year.
Which shops are open after midnight?
Ramen Unari Nakasu (until 6:00), Niku Niku Udon Nakasu (until 2:00, or 3:00 on Friday and Saturday) and Sukesan Udon Hakata Chiyo (24 hours). Hakata Issou’s Nakasu shop is open until 4:30, also until the soup sells out.
Can I pay by credit card?
It depends on the shop. ICHIRAN no Mori takes major credit cards at its ticket machine. Ramen Unari does not take them. The other pages read do not say.
