Squash is a racket sport played in a four-walled court, hitting the ball back and forth against the wall with your opponent. Here are six places in Kyushu where you can book a court or take a trial lesson, with prices and how to book.
- The cheapest trial is at Buddy in Miyazaki City, ¥1,000 for 30 minutes (1 person), and at THE SQUASH in Kitakyushu City, ¥1,100 for residents of Kitakyushu or Shimonoseki.
- Fukuoka City has two options: Blueprint in Tenjin (open 8:00–24:00) and Family Wall in Minami Ward.
- Every venue rents rackets and shoes, so sports clothes, a towel and a drink are enough to start.
In short
- Buddy (Miyazaki City) has the lowest-priced trial: ¥1,000 for 30 minutes, one person (section 5).
- THE SQUASH (Kitakyushu City) gives a resident discount: ¥1,100 instead of ¥2,200 for people who live in Kitakyushu or Shimonoseki (section 4).
- All six venues rent rackets and shoes, so you can turn up with just sports clothes and a towel.
- Tennis and HYROX options in Fukuoka and Kumamoto are covered in our related guide, Tennis, squash and HYROX in Fukuoka.

Playing with friends suits Blueprint’s per-person weekend pricing, THE SQUASH’s 30-minute pack, or Buddy’s 45-minute trial, all of which split by the number of people.
