Of the 13 shops here, as of September 28, 2026, only Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk (open since September 25) is taking bookings — New Otani Hakata, Okura Fukuoka and the Daimaru Matsuzakaya online store open October 1, and Iwataya Mitsukoshi opens October 14 for cardholders. Fukuoka bakeries such as 16 arrondissement and Strawberry Fields, along with hotels like Grand Hyatt Fukuoka and Hakata Hankyu, have not yet announced their 2026 lineups; for those, we show last year’s dates labeled “In 2025” so you know they are not this year’s dates — wait for the announcement.

3. Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk: bookable since September 25, from ¥1,000
Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk opened bookings on September 25 — the earliest of any shop in this guide. Three whole cakes run ¥4,500–¥5,000, three cut cakes are ¥1,100 each, and the strawberry shortcake also comes in a mini size (6cm × 6cm, ¥1,000). Themed “Santa’s Hometown,” the lineup includes the strawberry shortcake “Snowberry Noël” (¥5,000, mini ¥1,000), a chocolate Basque cheesecake made with Fukuoka-grown flour, cream cheese and free-range eggs, “Noël en Forêt” (¥4,500), the mousse cake “White Mistletoe” (¥4,500), and three cut-cake options — “Santa’s Hat,” “Christmas Tree Cake” and “Christmas Gift” (¥1,100 each).
Book by 18:00 on December 15 on the official site (TableCheck), paying by credit card at the time of booking. Pickup is 11:00–20:00, December 23–25, at Brasserie & Lounge Cielo on the hotel’s 4th floor. Payments are non-refundable, though bookings can be refunded if cancelled within 1 hour of booking. 4. New Otani Hakata: booking opens October 1, ¥6,000–¥23,760
New Otani Hakata takes bookings October 1 through December 18. Cakes run from the standard “Christmas Shortcake” at ¥6,000 (¥5,700 with the web discount) up to the “New Extra Super Amaou Shortcake,” made with Hakata’s amaou strawberries, at ¥23,760, across 4 varieties. The new “Cadeau de Noël” is ¥7,000 (¥6,700 with the web discount); the “New Super Amaou Shortcake” is ¥15,660 regular or ¥18,900 party size. Pickup is 11:00–19:00, December 23–25, at a dedicated counter in the 1st-floor lobby.
Book through the official reservation site (pre-paid by credit card, at the web-discount price) or in person at the hotel’s Green House counter (web discount not available there). 5. Okura Fukuoka: booking opens October 1; new cake limited to 20
Okura Fukuoka takes bookings October 1 through December 18; pickup is 12:00–20:00, December 21–25, at the 1st-floor Pastry Boutique. The new “Sapin de Minuit” pairs a Colombian chocolate mousse with raspberry in a tree-shaped mousse tart, 18cm across, ¥10,000, limited to 20. The standard “Christmas Strawberry Shortcake” is 15cm, ¥6,500 (150 available), and the “Bûche de Noël Praline,” rolled with a nut cream, is ¥6,000 (45 available).

A “3-item special set” combining cake, hors d’oeuvres and roast chicken is also available (¥22,000, serves 4–5, pickup December 24–25 only). 6. Iwataya Mitsukoshi: member pre-booking from October 14; cake details due ~October 7
Iwataya Mitsukoshi’s online store takes MI Card member pre-bookings from 10:00 on October 14 through 17:00 on October 20, and general bookings from 10:00 on October 21. This year’s theme is “Joyeux,” and the official page says details are “expected around October 7 (Wed)” — as of September 28, the cake lineup, prices and pickup method are not yet out. 7. Daimaru Matsuzakaya online store: opens October 1; Fukuoka Tenjin store list still to come
The Daimaru Matsuzakaya online store’s 2026 Christmas cake feature begins Thursday, October 1. The booking window is 10:00 on October 1 through 10:00 on December 18 (payment by convenience store or ATM must be completed by December 12); choose a pickup date of December 23, 24 or 25. As of September 28, the cake lineup and prices for pickup at the Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store are not yet out. The four shops below have not announced their 2026 Christmas cakes as of September 28. Last year’s booking dates are shown as a rough guide, but this year’s dates may differ.
Grand Hyatt Fukuoka
2026 not announced. In 2025, bookings ran October 15 through December 15, with an early-bird discount for orders by November 30 (for example, an amaou strawberry shortcake was ¥6,000 instead of ¥6,500). 9. Popular Fukuoka bakeries
In 2025, Chocolate Shop opened bookings November 1 and Saison des Récoltes on November 6 — later than the hotels. None of the four bakeries below has announced 2026 yet, so every date and price below is from 2025.
16 arrondissement (Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City)
2026 Christmas cakes not announced (as of September 28, only a 2026 stollen booking notice is up). In 2025: six log-shaped bûche de Noël (small, about 18cm, ¥5,724; large, about 24cm, ¥7,992), and whole cakes “Christmas Chantilly” (about 15cm, ¥5,076; about 18cm, ¥6,264), “Chantilly Chocolat” (¥5,616 / ¥6,804) and “Christmas Panier” (about 18cm, ¥5,832). 2025 pickup ran December 16–31; cakes are not shipped. 2026 not announced. In 2025, bookings ran through December 15, with pickup at 3 locations: Nishijin (092-822-0400), Minamisho (092-844-2238) and Strawberry on the Palette (092-805-7120). The 2025 standard “Fraise de Noël” was ¥4,300 (13cm), ¥4,900 (15cm) or ¥5,800 (18cm); “Chocolat de Noël” was ¥4,300 (13cm) or ¥4,900 (15cm); “Gâteau Marron,” “Rich Chocolat” and “Bûche de Noël Rosé” (¥4,500 each) were limited to 100. Chocolate Shop (Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City)
2026 not announced. In 2025, bookings ran November 1 through December 14, in-store only (no phone, web or social media bookings), with sales December 20–25. Changes and cancellations were not accepted after booking. 2026 not announced (the main shop is in Yoshizuka, Hakata Ward; there is also a branch in the basement of Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin). In 2025, bookings ran November 6 through December 15 in-store, by phone (092-402-2686) or online (online from around November 8), with pickup December 20–25. 10. Timing at a glance
As of September 28, only Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk is bookable; New Otani Hakata, Okura Fukuoka and the Daimaru Matsuzakaya online store follow on October 1. For cakes with a fixed limited quantity — Okura’s new 20-cake release, or New Otani’s top-tier amaou cakes — checking on the first day of booking is the safest bet. Deadlines are 18:00 on December 15 for Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, and December 18 for both New Otani Hakata and Okura Fukuoka.
Local bakeries opened bookings later in 2025 — November 1 (Chocolate Shop) and November 6 (Saison des Récoltes) — and closed by December 14–15. We’ll update this guide as 2026 announcements come in.

Can I pick up a cake on December 25 everywhere?
Most of the announced hotels include December 25 in their pickup window, but the exact range differs — Okura Fukuoka’s is December 21–25, while Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk and New Otani Hakata are December 23–25. Check the shop’s own section above.
