Taking a friend or a business contact from out of town to a slightly special dinner is a common ask, and L’AS Fukuoka, a modern French restaurant near Yakuin Station in Chuo Ward, is one answer. It opened on September 12, 2025 as the second location of a restaurant based in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, and serves a single course menu. Its official Instagram says Kyushu ingredients — such as red sea bream from Nagasaki and hyuga-dori chicken from Miyazaki — appear in the course, which changes about once a month.

In short

  • There is one course only: ¥7,000 per person (tax included), plus a ¥550 per-person charge — about ¥7,550 before drinks.
  • Dinner only on weekdays, 17:30 start (last order 20:30, closes 22:30); weekends and holidays start at 17:00. Lunch is weekends and holidays only, 11:30–12:30 last order.
  • Book via TableCheck online or by phone, 12:00–21:00. You will be asked about allergies and disliked ingredients when you book.

1. One omakase course, changing about once a month

According to the official site, L’AS builds on classic French technique with a focus on the taste of its ingredients and a playful presentation. The Fukuoka menu is a single “omakase” course only: an amuse-bouche, a crispy foie gras sandwich, two starters, a seafood course, a meat course, a dessert trolley and a closing drink — nine or ten dishes in total. The content changes with the season roughly once a month, and the next change date and menu are announced monthly on official Instagram. The operating company’s release also describes an open kitchen with no wall between the kitchen and the dining room, and notes the Tokyo restaurant held a Michelin Guide Tokyo Bib Gourmand listing from 2023 to 2025.

2. ¥7,000 for the course, plus a ¥550 charge

The omakase course is ¥7,000 per person (tax included), plus a separate ¥550 per-person charge — about ¥7,550 total before drinks. A champagne-plus-wine pairing has one champagne and four wines; a non-alcoholic pairing has three drinks, though neither price is listed on the official page, so ask when you book. An anniversary cake is ¥3,850 and changes with the season. If you visit more than once in the same month, the restaurant says it will vary the dishes where it can.

3. Lunch is weekends and holidays only; book online or by phone

Dinner starts at 17:30 (last order 20:30, closes 22:30), or 17:00 on weekends and holidays. Lunch runs weekends and holidays only, last order 12:30, closing 14:30 — there is no weekday lunch, so if you are meeting someone during a business trip at midday, check the day of the week first. There is no fixed closed day. Seating is 48; book via TableCheck online or by phone at 090-1798-1844 (accepted 12:00–21:00). You will be asked about food allergies and disliked ingredients when you book, so it helps to confirm your guests’ needs beforehand. Cancellation terms and conditions for children are in the booking notes PDF on the official site.

4. 2 minutes from Yakuin Station

The address is New-Gen minami tenjin 1F, 2-7-12 Watanabedori, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. The operating company’s release and official Instagram both give a 2-minute walk from Nishitetsu Yakuin Station — south of Tenjin along Watanabe-dori. Parking is not mentioned on the official site.

5. Before you go

  • Weekdays are dinner only; choose a weekend or holiday for lunch.
  • Budget about ¥7,550 per person (course plus charge) before drinks.
  • Tell them about any allergies or disliked ingredients for your party when you book.
  • Check official Instagram for this month’s course and the next change date.
  • Check cancellation terms in the booking notes on the official site.

With a single course, there is nothing to choose on the night, which keeps the focus on the meal itself. Address: New-Gen minami tenjin 1F, 2-7-12 Watanabedori, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City (Google Maps), phone 090-1798-1844. Hours and closed days can change, so check the official L’AS site before you book.
