Compare four grocery delivery services in Yamaguchi Prefecture by delivery fee, order cutoff, delivery day and whether you must be home: Coop Yamaguchi, Marukyu Rakuraku Bin, AEON Net Super and 7NOW.

If you live in Yamaguchi Prefecture and want groceries brought to your door, four services cover the field: Coop Yamaguchi (コープやまぐち), Marukyu Rakuraku Bin (マルキュウらくらく便), AEON Net Super (イオンネットスーパー) and 7NOW from Seven-Eleven. They differ in how fast food arrives, what delivery costs, and whether anyone has to be home. This page compares them side by side.

In short

  • Coop Yamaguchi delivers on a fixed weekday each week. It is the only one of the four that says it leaves orders in an insulated box when you are out.
  • Marukyu Rakuraku Bin delivers the day after tomorrow, Monday to Saturday, for ¥650 per order. It does not leave orders at the door.
  • AEON Net Super sets your store and delivery fee by postal code. 7NOW takes orders from ¥1,000 (before tax) and can arrive in as little as 20 minutes.
  • Coop Yamaguchi and Marukyu need a sign-up first. For AEON and 7NOW, check whether your address is covered.
  • The ordering pages of all four are in Japanese. This page lists what to look for.

Checked with official pages on October 6, 2026.

1. How do the four services compare?

Depends on the provider

Pick Coop Yamaguchi for a weekly routine, Marukyu for orders on the days you choose, and 7NOW only for small, urgent top-ups. Fees are tax included unless marked. The names link to each section.

Service Arrives Delivery fee Order cutoff
Coop Yamaguchi Same weekday every week ¥55 or ¥198 per week 5 p.m. the day after you hand in the order sheet (7 p.m. online)
Marukyu Day after tomorrow ¥650 per order 3 p.m., 2 days before delivery
AEON You choose the day and slot Varies by store and area Differs by store
7NOW From 20 minutes ¥110 to ¥550 Orders 7 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. (varies by store)

2. Which cities do they reach?

Depends on the provider

Marukyu lists Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi, Ube, Shunan and Iwakuni among the areas it delivers to. Its list is by town name, so check your own town. Coop Yamaguchi says it serves Yamaguchi Prefecture, but its pages do not list cities. AEON and 7NOW do not publish a list for Yamaguchi. Both ask you to enter your address or postal code.

Service How to check your address
Coop Yamaguchi Call the inquiry center: 0120-49-5657
Marukyu Look up your town on the delivery-area page
AEON Enter your postal code on the AEON Net Super top page
7NOW Check in the 7NOW app or on the website. The service runs at some stores only.

Marukyu delivers to Mishima in Hagi City and to part of Iwakuni City one day after shipping, not on the usual schedule.

3. Coop Yamaguchi: weekly delivery called Cocokuru

Depends on the provider

A one-person delivery costs ¥198 a week if you order under ¥4,600 (before tax), and ¥55 if you order ¥4,600 or more. Delivery to a group of three or more people, or pick-up at a Coop Station House, is free. The co-op also says families with a pregnant member or a child under 3 pay no delivery fee, after registering for its child-raising support (子育てサポート).

You need to join the co-op first. It asks for a share of ¥100 or more, which is refunded in full when you leave. You do not have to order every week. Delivery comes on a fixed weekday, and you can order on a paper sheet, online (the eふれんず site or the Coop app), by phone or by fax.

  1. Join as a member. Use the web sign-up page, or call 0120-49-5657. The sign-up page is in Japanese.
  2. Order before the cutoff. The cutoff is 5 p.m. the day after you hand in the order sheet, or 7 p.m. for online orders.
  3. Be ready to receive the box. If nobody is home, the delivery person leaves the goods in an insulated box at a place agreed in advance.

Payment is by bank debit on the 26th of the month, for goods from the 16th of the previous month to the 15th. The order center is on 0120-49-7272. The co-op’s beginner page lists weekdays 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the delivery-service page lists 8:30 a.m. starts and Saturdays to 6 p.m. Not stated by the organizer: whether staff speak English.

4. Marukyu Rakuraku Bin: delivery from a Yamaguchi supermarket chain

Depends on the provider

Delivery costs ¥650 per order in Yamaguchi Prefecture, except on islands, and ¥1,500 to Mishima in Hagi City. It is run by Marukyu Co. (丸久), which also runs the Marukyu supermarkets. You need to register as a member on the Rakuraku Bin website.

The site takes orders 24 hours a day. An order made by 3 p.m. arrives the day after tomorrow, in one of three slots: 2–4 p.m., 4–6 p.m. or 6–8 p.m. There is no delivery on Sundays. The hand-over is face to face, and the service says it does not leave orders at the door.

Important

The company’s own delivery information page still says orders by 3 p.m. arrive “the next afternoon.” The Rakuraku Bin ordering pages say “the day after tomorrow.” This page follows the ordering pages. Check the delivery date on the order screen.

You can pay by credit card when you order, or by cash on delivery for a ¥200 fee.

5. AEON Net Super: your postal code sets the store and fee

Depends on the provider

The delivery fee depends on the store and delivery area, so enter your postal code first to see yours. The top page says it will show your assigned store and fee once you search by postal code.

You can add items until 30 minutes before the order deadline, which differs by location. Someone must be home to receive the delivery. You can also pick up at a store, through the store’s PickUp! service. Payment is by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express or Diners), cash on delivery, or WAON at some stores. You earn 1 WAON POINT for every ¥200 you spend. The customer line is 0120-586-610 (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.).

6. 7NOW: Seven-Eleven items from 20 minutes

Depends on the provider

The order total must be at least ¥1,000 before tax, so 7NOW does not suit a single carton of milk. The delivery fee is ¥110 to ¥550, and always ¥550 if you buy tobacco.

How to use the 7NOW app, from Seven-Eleven Japan’s official channel (in Japanese)

Orders run from 7 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. the next day, depending on the store. About 3,000 items are on offer. You pay by credit card, PayPay, au PAY, d payment or nanaco points. Cash is not accepted. 7NOW says the service runs at some stores only.

Important

If nobody is home, the order is cancelled and there is no redelivery. 7NOW does not offer to leave orders at the door.

7. What should you check before choosing?

Depends on the provider

If you are out during the day, Coop Yamaguchi is the only one of the four that says it leaves orders in an insulated box. Marukyu hands over face to face. AEON and 7NOW need someone at home.

  • Sundays. Marukyu does not deliver on Sundays. Coop Yamaguchi’s phone order center is closed on Sundays. 7NOW takes orders from 7 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.
  • Islands and some areas. Marukyu’s Mishima (Hagi City) and part of Iwakuni City are one day after shipping.
  • Your address. For AEON and 7NOW, the answer can change by address, even inside one city.
  • Language. The sign-up and ordering pages of all four are in Japanese. None of the official pages used here says that staff speak English.

8. Common questions

Can I get an order when I am out?

Only Coop Yamaguchi says it leaves goods in an insulated box at an agreed place. Marukyu hands over face to face. 7NOW cancels the order if nobody is home. AEON says someone must be there to receive it.

I forgot to order. Can I still order for this week’s Coop delivery?

The cutoff is 5 p.m. the day after you hand in the order sheet, or 7 p.m. for online orders. The delivery-service page also lists phone and fax as ways to order.

How do I pay?

Coop Yamaguchi uses bank debit. Marukyu takes a credit card, or cash on delivery for ¥200. 7NOW takes credit cards and PayPay-type payments but no cash. AEON takes credit cards, cash on delivery and, at some stores, WAON.

Do I have to order every week with Coop Yamaguchi?

No. The co-op says you can use it in the weeks that suit you.
