You can bathe in a hot spring in Hiroshima Prefecture without staying overnight. This guide compares eight day-use hot spring facilities: three in Hiroshima City, two in Higashihiroshima City, two on islands in Kure City and one in Fukuyama City. It lines up the adult price, hours, closed days and parking, and covers what an English-speaking visitor often needs to check first: tattoo rules, rules for children, payment and how to get there. Prices and times are from each facility’s own pages.
In short
- A weekday adult ticket costs from ¥600 (Kamagari Onsen) to ¥1,100 (Manten no Yu Kabe). The price lists below are for a ticket that includes every bath.
- Tattoos: five facilities say tattoos are not allowed (both Honoyu baths, Manten no Yu, The Spa Shion and Gran-no-Yu, which includes body-paint stickers). Kurahashi Katsurahama Onsenkan asks you to use a covering sticker. The Hotkamo and Kamagari pages checked do not say.
- Only the two Honoyu baths can be reached by tram. Hotkamo can be reached by bus from Saijo Station. The others are mainly reached by car, with a free shuttle at Manten no Yu (Mondays and Fridays) and at Hotkamo.
- Gran-no-Yu in Fukuyama is closed from November 9 to 13, 2026 for air-conditioner replacement.
- Hotkamo has a limited-time sake bath on October 10 and 11, 2026.
Checked with official pages on October 5, 2026.

2. What should I check before I go?
Depends on the facility
Tattoos. Both Honoyu baths say they refuse entry to anyone with a tattoo, including stickers and paint. Manten no Yu refuses people with tattoos. The Spa Shion does not allow tattoos in its large bath; the bathroom in a hotel room uses hot spring water. Gran-no-Yu refuses tattoos, including body-paint stickers. Kurahashi Katsurahama Onsenkan asks people with tattoos to use a covering sticker or similar. The Hotkamo and Kamagari Onsen pages checked do not say, so ask first.
Children. Honoyu does not allow men and women to bathe together from the 3rd grade of elementary school, or from 120 cm in height. Gran-no-Yu applies the limit from age 8 or 120 cm. Kurahashi Katsurahama Onsenkan allows the opposite sex only up to the 1st grade of elementary school. Gran-no-Yu does not allow anyone wearing a diaper to bathe. At Hotkamo, children in diapers can use only the children’s bath, with a guardian. Honoyu does not admit children in elementary school or younger on their own.
Payment. Honoyu takes cash, various credit cards and cashless payment. Gran-no-Yu takes cash, credit cards, QR codes, transit IC cards and other e-money (not PiTaPa). The pages checked for the other five do not say, so carry cash.
Towels. Honoyu provides shampoo, conditioner and body soap in the bath area, and you bring a towel or buy or rent one. Hotkamo rents a bath towel for ¥150, and Gran-no-Yu rents a face-and-bath towel set for ¥300. The Spa Shion provides DHC shampoo, conditioner and body soap.
Manners. Kurahashi Katsurahama Onsenkan lists its bathing manners in English on its official page. They include no swimsuits in the bath, no food or drink in the bathrooms, and no photos or video in the changing rooms or bathrooms.
3. How do I get there?
Depends on the facility
Honoyu Ujina is about 15 minutes by car from Hiroshima Station. By public transport, take the Hiroden tram toward Hiroshima Port (Ujina) and get off at Ujina 2-chome (宇品二丁目), then walk about 10 minutes. From Hiroshima Station you can also take the Machi-no-wa Loop bus, clockwise route 302, to Prefectural University of Hiroshima (県立広島大学前), then walk about 5 minutes. Honoyu Rakurakuen is about 5 minutes on foot from Rakurakuen tram stop on the Hiroden Miyajima Line, or about 25 minutes on foot from JR Itsukaichi Station. It is about 35 minutes by car from Hiroshima Station.
For Hotkamo, take a limousine bus from Hiroshima Airport to JR Saijo Station, or a bus from Higashi-Hiroshima Station on the Shinkansen. Details are in the Hotkamo section. Manten no Yu runs a free shuttle bus on Mondays and Fridays, with the timetable on its site. The Spa Shion is about 5 minutes by car from Hiroshima Airport. Kurahashi Katsurahama Onsenkan is about 1 hour 20 minutes by car from Hiroshima Station, or the same by Hiroden Bus from Kure Station. Gran-no-Yu is inside the Fuji Grand Kannabe shopping center in Fukuyama.

An adult (junior high school and older) pays ¥800 for the bath only or ¥900 with the sauna. Elementary school children pay ¥400 and preschool children ¥300. A ¥400 base fee for adults gets you into the baths but not the locker room, sauna, open-air bath, towels or amenities. A hands-free set of bath, sauna, a bath towel and a face towel is ¥1,100 and is sold only to adults. A bath towel rental costs ¥150 and house wear ¥300. Children who wear diapers can use only the children’s bath, with a guardian.
The bath facility is open 08:00 to 24:00 (last entry 23:30), the longest of the eight. The official site lists 7 kinds of baths and 2 saunas (a low-temperature one and a gas far-infrared one), with an open-air bath on the roof, and says the water comes from 2,000 m underground. Parking has 500 free spaces. Check the “crowding” page on the official site before you go. On October 10 and 11, 2026 only, the facility offers a sake bath, to coincide with the Saijo Sake Festival.
The official site gives several ways to get there. By car, it is about 10 minutes from the Saijo interchange of the Sanyo Expressway. By train and bus, take the Saijo city loop bus “Non Bus” from JR Saijo Station to “Kamo Bowl-mae” (about 18 minutes); show your ride proof for ¥100 off the bath fee (not combined with other discounts). From Higashi-Hiroshima Station on the Shinkansen, take a Geiyo Bus toward Saijo Station to “Uwato” (about 10 minutes). From Hiroshima Airport, take the limousine bus to Saijo Station. A free shuttle runs without a reservation; the timetable is on the site.
Address: 6179-1 Misonou, Saijo-cho, Higashihiroshima. Google Maps. Phone: 082-422-0888. The official pages checked do not say whether the facility has a fixed closed day or allows tattoos.

Adults pay ¥800 on weekdays and ¥900 on weekends and holidays, and children from age 4 to elementary school pay ¥400 and ¥500. It is open 13:00 to 21:00 and closed on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Both the indoor and open-air baths use the hotel’s own spring, which it calls 100% radium hot spring. Indoors there are a herbal bath, a jet bath, a dry far-infrared sauna (80 to 92 degrees) and a cold bath of about 17 degrees. The open-air bath is close enough to the airport that planes can sometimes be seen. A baby bath chair for ages about 2 to 24 months is provided. The bath does not admit people with tattoos, and the hotel’s room bathrooms use hot spring water instead.
Parking has 60 free spaces (ask in advance if you come in a large vehicle). It is about 5 minutes by car from the Kochi interchange of the Sanyo Expressway and about 5 minutes from Hiroshima Airport. The facility also has a family bath at ¥800 for 1 hour (plus the admission fee). It is meant for people who find a large bath hard to use, for example someone with a large surgical scar, a small child or a family member who needs help, and the facility says it is not for a view or a long rest.
Parking has about 150 spaces. The island is about 1 hour 20 minutes by car from Hiroshima Station and about 50 minutes from Kure Station.
