Ice skating in Fukuoka 2026: comparing the 2 year-round rinks

Prices and hours for the two ice rinks in Fukuoka Prefecture that are open all year: O-Vision Ice Arena Fukuoka (O-Vision アイスアリーナ福岡, Hakata Ward) and Iizuka Ice Palace (飯塚アイスパレス, Iizuka City). Spoga Kurume (スポガ久留米) in Kurume City has been closed for general ice skating since July 13, 2026 because of an equipment problem, with no date set to reopen. Two winter-only rinks have not yet published this season’s dates or prices, so only what has been announced is noted below.

In short

  • A day pass with skate rental is ¥2,000 for adults at O-Vision Ice Arena Fukuoka and ¥1,900 at Iizuka Ice Palace; for elementary-age children and younger it is ¥1,200 and ¥1,500 (section 1).
  • Iizuka Ice Palace is cheaper if you bring your own skates: ¥1,400 for adults instead of ¥1,900 (section 3).
  • Spoga Kurume has been closed for ice skating since July 13, 2026; no reopening date is set (section 4).
  • Seaside Momochi ICE SKATING PARK and Kitakyushu Ice Skating Center have not published this season’s dates or prices yet (section 5).

Opening hours change by day of the week at each rink, so check the current month’s schedule on the official site before you go.

1. O-Vision Ice Arena Fukuoka (Papio): ¥2,000 with rental

A one-day skating pass at O-Vision Ice Arena Fukuoka is ¥2,000 for adults with rental skates included, or ¥1,500 if you bring your own. The price covers entry and skating (and rental, if included). Junior and senior high school students pay ¥1,700 with rental / ¥1,200 with their own skates, but must show a student ID or they are charged the adult price. Elementary-age children and younger pay ¥1,200 with rental / ¥700 with their own skates, and entry itself is free for them. 2. Iizuka Ice Palace: ¥1,400 for adults with your own skates

At Iizuka Ice Palace, skating with rental included is ¥1,900 for adults, ¥1,700 for junior/senior high students and ¥1,500 for elementary-age children or younger; bringing your own skates brings that down to ¥1,400 / ¥1,200 / ¥1,000. There is no time limit on how long you can skate within opening hours. Rental alone is ¥500, and a spectator-only ticket for someone just watching is ¥300. Prices (Iizuka Ice Palace)

Opening hours are weekdays 12:00–20:00, Sundays and holidays 10:00–19:00, and Saturdays 12:00–18:00 from April to November or 10:00–18:00 from December to March. The official site says to check “this month’s hours” before visiting. The rink is at 56-1 Kashiwanomori, Iizuka City: 20 minutes on foot from JR Shin-Iizuka Station, or 2 minutes on foot from the Nishitetsu bus stop “Polytechnic Center Iizuka.” Parking has 15 dedicated spaces plus 70 shared spaces. 3. Spoga Kurume has been closed since July 13, reopening date not set

Spoga Kurume in Kurume City has suspended general ice-skating operations since Monday, July 13, 2026, because of a rink equipment problem. No date has been set to reopen, and the operator says it will announce updates on its official site (no reopening notice as of September 27, 2026). 4. Winter-only rinks have not published this season’s prices yet

Fukuoka Prefecture also has rinks that open only for winter. Seaside Momochi ICE SKATING PARK, the outdoor rink in front of Fukuoka Tower, announces on its official site that it will open for the 2026–27 season, but the dates and prices are listed as “coming soon.” Seaside Momochi ICE SKATING PARK ’26-’27
