A bonenkai (忘年会) is a year-end party, and a shinnenkai (新年会) is its New Year version. Many Tokyo hotels sell fixed plans for both: a set price per person that covers food, free-flow drinks and the room. This guide compares the plans of four Tokyo hotels for 2026 – 2027: Hotel New Otani Tokyo, Imperial Hotel Tokyo, Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo and Tokyo Prince Hotel. It shows the price per person, the smallest group each plan takes, the drinks and the nearest station.
In short
- Every plan here is a 2-hour plan with free-flow drinks. Prices per person run from ¥8,000 (Petrea karaoke room, Tokyo Prince) to ¥23,000 (Gold course, Keio Plaza).
- Only the restaurants at Tokyo Prince Hotel take small groups: from 2 guests at Washoku Shimizu and Manrou Nichien, and from 4 at the Petrea karaoke room. The other plans start at 10 to 30 guests.
- Tokyo Prince’s lower restaurant price is a member price, and registering for SEIBU PRINCE CLUB is free. The restaurant plans add a 13% service charge. The other plans in this guide include tax and service.
- The plan pages we read are in Japanese. Booking is by phone or an inquiry form, so call or write early and have your date, group size and budget ready.

7. How do I book if I do not read Japanese?
Depends on the provider
The plan pages we read are in Japanese, and none says whether staff handle English. Use a browser translation tool to read them, and book by phone or by the hotel’s inquiry form.
- Fix your date, number of guests and budget per person. Check the plan’s end date and, for Tokyo Prince restaurants, the excluded dates.
- Pick the plan from section 2. The smallest group each plan takes is the first limit.
- Contact the hotel. Use the phone numbers in each section. Hotel New Otani Tokyo and Imperial Hotel Tokyo also have inquiry forms; both hotels list their lines on English banquet pages.
- Ask about the extras before you confirm. Ask what the price includes, the extension fee and the cancellation terms. The plan pages do not state cancellation terms.
