If you live in Tokyo and want groceries brought to your door, there are two kinds of service to choose from. A “net super” (ネットスーパー, netto suupaa) is a supermarket’s online shop, delivered from a store near you. A co-op (生協, seikyo) is a consumer cooperative: you join as a member and order every week. This page compares five services: Life, Tokyu Store and Presse, Co-op Deli, Palsystem Tokyo and Oisix. It uses each company’s official pages. They are written in Japanese, and the pages we read do not say whether support is available in English.
In short
- Delivery is free from ¥6,000 (before tax) at Co-op Deli, from ¥6,500 (before tax) for Oisix’s regular delivery, from ¥8,000 (before tax) at Life, and from ¥12,000 (tax included) a week at Palsystem Tokyo.
- Life and Tokyu Store can deliver the same day. Co-op Deli, Palsystem Tokyo and Oisix deliver on a regular schedule.
- The two co-ops need membership and an investment (出資金, shusshikin). Co-op Deli says its investment is ¥500 to ¥1,000 and is returned in full when you leave.
- Your address decides what you can use. Check the delivery area first.

1. Life (ライフ): can I get groceries today?
Depends on the provider
Life Net Super takes orders from ¥2,000 to ¥49,999 (before tax) per order, and the delivery fee falls as you spend more, from ¥440 down to free. The fee is ¥440 from ¥2,000, ¥330 from ¥4,000, ¥220 from ¥6,000, and free from ¥8,000. Life states these amounts as of July 2026 and says to confirm the details when you order.
You choose one of four delivery slots: 11:00–14:00, 14:00–16:00, 16:00–18:00 or 18:00–20:00. The earliest delivery is the same day, as soon as 3 hours after you order. Registration is free. You pay by credit card or cash on delivery; some prepaid and debit cards do not work. The app works on smartphones only.
The Tokyo area page lists all 23 wards and 14 cities: Nishitokyo, Fuchu, Machida, Chofu, Higashikurume, Koganei, Musashino, Komae, Kokubunji, Higashimurayama, Kodaira, Mitaka, Kiyose and Hachioji. Inside each ward, delivery is by town and block number (丁目, chome), and Life lists only places it can deliver to. Enter your postal code on the page to check your address. 2. Tokyu Store and Presse (東急ストア・プレッセ): which store covers me?
Depends on the provider
Tokyu Store’s net super delivers from individual stores, so the area, delivery slots and order deadline all depend on the store near you. The service covers Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba and Shizuoka. The official guide has three steps: check your area, register with your email address, and start shopping. Net super guide (Tokyu Store)
The guide shows some Tokyo stores as examples, and says many other areas are served too. The Toritsu-daigaku store covers parts of Meguro, Shinagawa, Ota and Setagaya wards. Its slots are 13:00–15:00 (order by 8:00), 16:00–18:00 (order by 12:00) and 19:00–21:00 (order by 12:00). The Presse Meguro store covers parts of Minato, Shinagawa, Shibuya and Meguro wards. The Tachikawa Station South Exit store covers parts of Tachikawa, Kunitachi, Hino and Akishima, with slots at 14:00–16:00 (order by 9:00) and 16:00–18:00 (order by 13:00).
The page does not state the regular delivery fee or the payment methods. Members of TOKYU ROYAL CLUB at the Platinum, Crystal and Gold stages get free net super delivery; you apply for this on the TOKYU ROYAL CLUB My Page. Net super delivery (Tokyu Store)
3. Co-op Deli (コープデリ): what does joining involve?
Depends on the provider
In Tokyo, Co-op Deli’s fee is free for an order of ¥6,000 or more (before tax); below that, it is ¥198 including tax (¥88 basic fee plus ¥110 delivery). A group of three or more people who share one delivery point pays nothing whatever the amount. Discounts also exist: free fees from pregnancy until the child turns 1; for children from age 1 to elementary school, free for orders of ¥3,000 or more; and only the ¥88 basic fee for households where everyone is 65 or over, two-person households where one is 65 or over, and people with a disability certificate. Fees in Tokyo (Co-op Deli)
- Apply on the web or with a staff member. You pay the investment by credit card and register a bank account for direct debit.
- Get your delivery day. Co-op Deli tells you the weekday and time slot by email, phone or visit. Delivery is once a week, on the same weekday.
- Receive the catalog and start ordering. You can order by app, the e-Friends website, phone or order form.
The investment is ¥500 to ¥1,000 or so, and it is returned in full when you leave the co-op. Internet orders for the following week close at 2:00 a.m. two days after your delivery day; the FAQ writes this as 26:00 on the day after delivery. If you are out, the driver leaves the order at your door with an ice pack, and a cover to protect the box can be borrowed for free. Items delivered by the 20th are debited from your bank account on the 5th of the next month. How to use Co-op Deli, Order deadline (Co-op Deli FAQ)
The fee page lists Tokyo as a service area but does not list wards or towns. Questions: 0120-043-502, Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 10:00–17:00 (closed Sunday). It is a Japanese-language line; the page does not mention English.
4. Palsystem Tokyo (パルシステム東京): is my town covered?
Depends on the provider
Palsystem Tokyo’s weekly fee is ¥248 for a week’s order up to ¥1,999, and falls to free at ¥12,000 or more (tax included). For one person, the fee is ¥248 for ¥0–¥1,999, ¥198 for ¥2,000–¥4,999, ¥165 for ¥5,000–¥11,999, and free from ¥12,000. Members who have used the service for 5 years or more pay nothing from ¥8,000. The fee is about half for a pair of members sharing one delivery. A group with three or more catalogs pays no fee. These are the fees for regular delivery (定期便, teikibin); the page lists its other delivery type (指定便, shiteibin) separately. Fees and reductions (Palsystem Tokyo)
Palsystem Tokyo has 18 delivery centers in Tokyo. Its area list for regular delivery covers all 23 wards. In eight of them, the list splits the towns between two or more delivery centers: Shinjuku, Shinagawa, Meguro, Ota, Setagaya, Shibuya, Suginami and Nerima. In Tama, it lists many cities and towns, such as Hachioji, Tachikawa, Machida, Fuchu, Mitaka, Musashino, Nishitokyo and Higashikurume, plus Okutama and Hinohara. Check your town name on the list before you join. Delivery areas in Tokyo (Palsystem Tokyo)
Three reductions need an application with documents. The Kids benefit is for households where a member or spouse is pregnant, or has a child not yet in elementary school; it needs the Maternal and Child Health Handbook (母子健康手帳). The Silver benefit is for households where everyone is 70 or over, or where one of a couple is. The Hands benefit is for households with a person who has a disability certificate. You join as a member and pay an investment; the pages we read do not state the amount. Questions about fees: 0120-581-219, Monday to Friday 9:00–21:00, Saturday 10:00–18:00.
5. Oisix (オイシックス): how is the delivery fee set?
Depends on the provider
For Oisix’s regular delivery (定期宅配, teiki takuhai), the fee to Honshu, which includes Tokyo, is free from ¥6,500 (before tax). Oisix revised some fees on June 18, 2026. The official table for Honshu is below. Regular delivery is weekly or every other week, and the fee does not change with the frequency.
| Order (before tax) | Regular delivery | Without regular delivery |
|---|---|---|
| ¥8,000+ | Free | Free |
| ¥6,500–¥7,999 | Free | ¥200 |

| ¥2,000–¥4,499 | ¥600 | ¥1,000 |
| ¥1,999 or less | ¥1,200 | ¥1,600 |
Frozen items add a fee: ¥300 (tax included) when the frozen items in your order total less than ¥1,600 (before tax), and free from ¥1,600. The pages we read do not state the delivery time slots, payment methods or language support. Delivery fees (Oisix FAQ), Frozen item fee (Oisix FAQ)
6. How do I choose?
Depends on your address and habits
- Check your address first. Use Life’s postal code search, Tokyu Store’s area search and Palsystem Tokyo’s area list.
- For something tonight, look at Life or Tokyu Store. Life can deliver the same day; Tokyu Store’s order deadline is between 8:00 and 13:00 in the stores shown.
- For a weekly shop, compare the co-ops. Co-op Deli’s fee is free from ¥6,000 (before tax); Palsystem Tokyo’s from ¥12,000 (tax included).
- If you are often out, look at the door-step options. Co-op Deli leaves the order at your door with an ice pack. For the other services, the pages we read do not say; ask before you join.
- Check how you pay. Life takes cards or cash on delivery. Co-op Deli debits a bank account.
Common questions
