Osechi (おせち) is a New Year meal of small dishes packed in stacked boxes (重箱, jubako). Fukuya, Tenmaya and the hotels below take advance orders for New Year 2027, and each one has its own deadline, pickup day and delivery area. This guide compares four of them: Fukuya (福屋), Tenmaya (天満屋) Fukuyama Store, Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima (グランドプリンスホテル広島) and ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima (ANAクラウンプラザホテル広島). All facts come from each company’s own pages, checked on October 5, 2026. The order pages we used are in Japanese, so each section shows what to select or say.
In short
- The earliest deadline is November 30 (ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima, frozen two-tier set). The latest is December 25 (Fukuya in-store orders and ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima pickup orders).
- Pickup is on December 31 at the department stores and at the hotels’ own pickup counters. The hotels’ frozen sets arrive by courier on December 30.
- Fukuya does not accept changes or cancellations after you order. Tenmaya does not let you change the pickup store or switch between pickup and delivery.
- Delivery areas differ by store. Check yours in section 3 before you choose.

1. Which store or hotel fits you?
Depends on the provider
Order deadlines run from November 30 to December 25, 2026, so the store you pick decides how long you have. The prices below are examples from each official page. Sets differ in size and contents, so do not compare the prices one to one. All prices include tax.

2. How do I order at each place?
2.1 Fukuya (福屋): three ways to order, three deadlines
Depends on the provider
Fukuya takes orders from October 1, 2026. The deadline depends on how you order:
- In a store: until Friday, December 25. Go to the “osechi order counter” (おせち料理ご予約承りコーナー) at the Hachobori Main Store (八丁堀本店), Hiroshima Station Store (広島駅前店), Itsukaichi Fukuya (五日市福屋), Kure Store (呉店) or Saijo Store (西条店). You pay when you order.
- By phone: until Sunday, December 20. Call the toll-free number 0120-1717-20 (10:30 to 18:00). Pay by a Fukuya card or another credit card, in one payment.
- Online store: until Thursday, December 24 if you pay by credit card or Paidy. Until Saturday, December 19 if you pay at a convenience store or by Pay-easy.
Fukuya does not accept changes or cancellations after you order. It also says every set is in limited supply and may sell out.
Pickup is on Thursday, December 31 from 11:00 to 17:00 (confirm the time at your store). If you order in a store, you pick up at that store. Phone and online orders can be picked up only at the Hachobori Main Store (the 8th-floor event hall, 広島市中区胡町6-26) or delivered.
Examples from the online store: the Fukuya original Japanese-Western-Chinese 3-tier set “Kotobuki” (寿ぎ) is ¥29,000, the Japanese-Western 4-tier set “Miyabi” (雅び) is ¥32,400, and the one-tier Japanese set “Kei” (慶) from the restaurant Mitakisou (三瀧荘) in Hiroshima is ¥17,820.
Delivery: ¥880 per address. Delivery is on December 31 until about 21:00. You cannot choose a time. Fukuya delivers to all wards of Hiroshima City (except island areas), all of Aki District, Kure City (except islands), all of Etajima City, Hatsukaichi City (except Miyajima and two former towns), Otake City (except Ata Island) and Higashihiroshima City (except four former towns). Fukuya also says it may be unable to deliver in bad traffic conditions, even inside the area. Check the official order page for the exact list.
Getting there: the Hachobori Main Store is about 7 minutes from Hiroshima Station by Hiroshima Electric Railway streetcar (get off at Hachobori). The Hiroshima Station Store is about a 3-minute walk from the station. Fukuya’s own Nobori-cho car park for the Main Store has 213 spaces (¥200 per 30 minutes from 8:00 to 24:00). The Station Store uses the contract Yell Yell HIROSHIMA (エールエールHIROSHIMA) car park with 681 spaces (¥210 per 30 minutes, open 6:00 to 23:00). That car park cannot be entered or exited on January 1.

2.2 Tenmaya (天満屋) Fukuyama Store: order online, pick up on December 31
Depends on the provider
Tenmaya takes osechi orders on its online shop (ネットショップ). The product pages show an order period that ends on Thursday, December 24 at 17:00. Pickup is on Thursday, December 31 at the Fukuyama Store (福山店), 7th-floor osechi event hall, from 11:00 to 16:00. Tenmaya lists five pickup stores: Okayama Main Store, Kurashiki, Tsuyama, Fukuyama and Yonago Shinmachi Tenmaya.
To order for store pickup, follow the online shop’s steps:
- Put the set in your cart and press the purchase button (購入手続きへ進む).
- Choose “for home use, no wrapping” (自家用（包装なし）) on the purpose screen.
- Choose “store pickup” (店舗受け取り) as the delivery destination.
- Select the pickup store (受け取り店舗) on the next screen.
On December 27, Tenmaya emails you a pickup notice. Show the email on your phone, or a printout, at the desk. If you cannot, bring your 8-digit customer number, your name, the product name, the 7-digit product number and the quantity.
After you order, you cannot change the pickup store, and you cannot switch between store pickup and delivery.
Prices: the Tenmaya original sets on the order list run from ¥13,000 to ¥34,020. Local restaurants also have sets. For example, a Chinese one-tier set from Sichuan restaurant Mataiken (四川料理 又来軒) in Fukuyama is ¥11,880, and a Japanese-Western set from the Tomo no Ura hotel Kaifutei (鞆の浦 ホテル鴎風亭) is ¥20,000 or ¥26,500.
Early-order points: orders placed from October 1 (10:00) to November 15 (Sunday, 17:00) earn 1,000 online-shop points per eligible set. This is only for online-shop members, and only for sets marked “◆おせち早得1000ポイント◆” in the product name.
Delivery: Tenmaya’s special osechi delivery arrives on December 31. You cannot choose a time. It covers only parts of Hiroshima Prefecture. Tenmaya says this special delivery is not covered by its free-shipping offer, so check the fee on the product page.

2.3 Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima (グランドプリンスホテル広島): frozen delivery or hotel pickup
Depends on the provider
The hotel takes orders and payment until Monday, December 14. It delivers only orders paid by that date.
- Japanese-Western 2-tier set (3 to 4 servings): ¥36,000, or ¥32,400 for Seibu Prince Global Rewards members. It is shipped frozen and arrives on Wednesday, December 30. You cannot choose a time. Shipping is ¥1,500 anywhere in Japan. The hotel says to thaw it in the refrigerator for about 24 hours.
- Premium Japanese-Western-Chinese 3-tier set: ¥64,800, limited to 15 sets, kept chilled. You pick it up at the hotel only, on Thursday, December 31 from 14:00 to 18:00, at the 1st-floor lounge Morokini (モロキニ).
You can order the 2-tier set in three ways: on the Prince Online Shop (credit card only), by phone to the hotel’s banquet reservations (宴会予約, 082-505-0666, 10:00 to 18:00), or at the hotel front desk. If you order by phone or at the front desk, you choose how to pay: bank transfer (an invoice is mailed, and you pay the transfer fee), an online card payment link sent by email, or at the front desk from 12:00 to 17:00 in cash or by card. The Premium set page lists the same payment choices but does not state how to place the order. Ask the hotel when you order.
The hotel’s outdoor car park has 440 spaces (¥220 per 30 minutes, ¥1,200 maximum per 24 hours). Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima: 広島市南区元宇品町23-1. Google Maps. Osechi orders: 082-505-0666.
2.4 ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima (ANAクラウンプラザホテル広島): three tiers, two tiers, one tier, or a frozen set
Depends on the provider
The hotel’s standard osechi sets are:
- Japanese-Western-Chinese 3 tiers (4 to 5 people): ¥43,200
- Japanese-Western 2 tiers (4 people): ¥29,700
- Japanese-Western 1 tier (3 to 4 people): ¥19,980
Order by Friday, December 25 to pick up at the 3rd-floor banquet hall on Thursday, December 31 between 10:00 and 15:00. To have it delivered, order by Friday, December 18. Delivery is ¥1,870 per order, arrives on December 31 with no time choice, and covers the area near Hiroshima City; the hotel asks you to contact it for details. Order by phone (082-241-9127, osechi desk, おせち予約係) or online (the page has an “online reservation” button).
The hotel also sells a limited frozen Japanese-Western 2-tier set (2 to 3 people, 100 sets). It is ¥29,700, or ¥21,600 if you order by Saturday, October 31. Orders end on Monday, November 30, or earlier if the 100 sets sell out. It is delivered only, by Yamato Transport’s chilled courier service on December 30, with no time choice.
The hotel’s car park has 80 spaces (¥250 per 30 minutes). If it is full, staff send you to a nearby paid car park. ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima: 広島市中区中町7-20. Google Maps. Osechi desk: 082-241-9127.
3. What should I check before I choose?
Depends on the provider
Delivery area. Fukuya, ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima and Tenmaya each deliver only to certain areas. Fukuya lists specific cities and towns in Hiroshima Prefecture (section 2.1). ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima says the area near Hiroshima City. Tenmaya says parts of Hiroshima Prefecture. Fukuyama City and Onomichi City are not in Fukuya’s list. Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima ships its frozen set anywhere in Japan for ¥1,500.
Delivery date. The hotels’ frozen 2-tier sets arrive on December 30. Delivery from Fukuya, Tenmaya and ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima’s standard sets is on December 31. No store lets you choose a time. Fukuya says its courier is Yamato Transport and that the package is handed to you in person. If you are out, the courier leaves a notice slip and you call the number on it for redelivery.
Pickup. Pickup is on December 31 at the stores and the hotels. Fukuya, Tenmaya and ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima let you pick up in the daytime. Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima’s pickup is for its Premium set only, from 14:00 to 18:00.
Shelf life. Fukuya says that, except for some sets, the use-by date is January 1, 2027. Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima’s frozen set can be kept frozen until January 31, 2027, and its chilled Premium set until January 2, 2027.
4. Common questions
Can I change or cancel an osechi order?
Fukuya says it does not accept changes or cancellations after you order, and that it does not take exchanges or returns because of the nature of the product. Tenmaya says you cannot change the pickup store or switch between pickup and delivery after you order. For Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima and ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima, the pages we used do not state a change or cancellation rule. Ask the hotel before you pay.
Do I have to arrange the dishes myself?
Fukuya says its osechi arrives already arranged in the boxes, so you can eat it right away. Frozen and vacuum-packed sets are the exception. Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima’s frozen set needs about 24 hours to thaw in the refrigerator.
Can the courier leave the box at my door or in a delivery locker?
Not for Fukuya. Fukuya says it hands the osechi to you in person and cannot leave it in a delivery locker.
Do I have to keep the osechi cold?
Fukuya says its sets are usually delivered at room temperature. After you receive them, store them in a refrigerator or in a cool place out of direct sunlight, and eat them before the use-by date.
